Bye Laws (Fodhlithe) for Cumann Camogaiochta na Gaillimhe
  1. A referees Committee be elected to recruit and arrange courses for referees.
  2. Each Club supply two referees at the beginning of each year.
  3. A fixtures committee be set up to arrange competitions for over 16s.
  4. A separate committee be appointed to run all under 16 matches.
  5. The only reason acceptable for postponement of matches be the death of a member of family or a person closely related to the club.
  6. If a home team decide they cannot supply a suitable pitch for a fixture, the match shall be played on opponents ground if suitable, fixture to stand as home fixture for the first team.
  7. That no person be allowed near goals during matches except umpires.
  8. League matches be played , where possible, on week evenings during summer to prevent league games from dragging into winter.
  9. In order to receive fixtures, clubs must have paid their insurance premium.
  10. A finance committee to be set up to assist the treasurer in fund raising for normal running of the board.
  11. That a gate be taken at quarter finals, semi finals and finals and that the finance committee be responsible.
  12. That Clubs failing to contribute to County Board funds be penalised.
  13. That where a club does not state its intentions of not fielding to a travelling team, then that club pay any travelling expenses incurred by the travelling team.
  14. That a committee be set up for the purpose of purchasing a playing field.
  15. All applications for regarding, transfers and affiliations be dealt with at the first County Board meeting held in February each year.
  16. That county board officers failing to act or attend three consecutive meetings be replaced. -This replacement can only be on a temporary basis. An Coiste Contae should seek nominations for the vacant position and have the person formally appointed at a meeting of An Coiste Contae.

  17. That clubs be responsible for cost of engraving trophies and ensuring safety of trophies in their possession.
  18. That trophies be returned to the County Secretary one month before County Finals or respective competitions.
  19. Players playing in a higher grade league cannot go back to a lower league grade in the same year within the county.
  20. County teams be selected at least one week before matches and published in local papers.
  21. That the senior county team have first call on players.
  22. That the county selection panel consist of four persons including the manager/ trainer.
  23. County Selectors failing to act, be replaced by the county board
  24. In the event of a clash of colours, the longest registered club will have the choice.
  25. That new clubs be accepted up to the championship draw.
  26. That new clubs not be automatically allowed enter at junior grade.
  27. County board officers should not act as delegates for their own club.
  28. Galway Camogie to have a calendar of events.
  29. Senior Championship to be played on a league basis.
  30. That under 10s be allowed used all weather sliothar
  31. That clubs proven to be poaching players from other clubs be dealt with by the county board
  32. Neutral referees get paid 10 euro from each team when requested by the fixtures committee
  33. U10, U12, U13 A and B, U14B, U16A and B, Junior A and B, Intermediate and Senior Championship matches be run on a league basis
  34. Medals be presented to runners up of the county championship finals up to minor grade.
  35. Enclosed pitch for all county finals, eg Senior Junior underage.
  36. That the winners of Junior B, Junior A and Intermediate competitions automatically be promoted to the next grade and only come down after relegation.
  37. That the bottom team in each grade for Junior A, Intermediate and Senior be relegated.
  38. All club matches be played when fixed, with the exception of All- Ireland semi finals and finals, when a seven day rule shall apply.
  39. Selectors appointed by Managers for all county teams shall be ratified at the first Co Board meeting in February
  40. Feile competition be run on a league basis and scrap the Under 14 A league
  41. Admission to county Finals read as follows U13- U14 €3, Minor & Under 18 €4, Adult €5.
  42. That the County PRO be part of the Senior Fixtures Committee.
  43. That delegates attending on behalf of club must be named at the first county meeting in February.
  44. All cancelled matches must be played within 5 days of the original fixture
  45. All team managers at county level should meet and liase with all the clubs within the county to discuss and play for the forthcoming year to avoid conflict for players between club and county team management
  46. Create a position of Vice-President on the County Board
  47. In relation to fixtures committees, each fixture committee be made up of one representative from each club in that grade. Eg Senior fixtures will have one representative from each club, intermediate one representative from each club and junior one representative from each club. Each Committee should havea secretary and the secretaries of each committee should meet and finalise the fixtures.
  48. Maximum amount of players to be regarded in any one year be 4 players per club.
  49. Disciplinary Action to be taken with clubs who fail to fulfil a fixture
  50. That a fixtures booklet giving dates for all matches be published by end of March each year.
  51. That a representative from every club sit on the fixtures committees in charge of each competition.
  52. Referees report must be submitted before payment.
  53. Every club be given six or more tickets to attend the Camogie Dinner Dance and must send six or more people to Dinner Dance.
  54. Clubs responsible for teams behaviour on field, referees report goes to secretary, and depending on contents passed to Disciplinary committee for further action where the decision is final.
  55. A Disciplinary committee shall be set up (in accordance with the relevant rules of T.O.) to investigate and make recommendations on matters referred to it by the Management Committee.
