Galway opened the score from the throw in  which Linda Gohery goaled, followed by point from Niamh Kilkenny. On the fourth minute Roscommon goaled by Niamh Coill and on the eleven minute Roscommon pointed from Anette McGreevey.

From fourteen minutes to 29 minute it was all Galway,  Free Molly Dunne point- (14 Minutes)Molly Dunne on pass from Collette Hardiman Point free Molly Dunne again on  19 Minutes.Catherina Cormican pointed from play on 23 Minute and Yvonne Donnelly (0-1) from play on 26 minutes Elaine Daly coverted a free for Roscommon, before Molly Dunne again pointed from play followed by another well taken Linda Gohery point.

Second Half Roscommon opened the play on 2 minutes point from Niamh Coill and Roscommon again on 8th minutes from Niamh Coll. It was all Roscommon for the first fifteen minutes with Galway's Molly Dunne converting point on 17th minute from play. This was followed by Annette McGreeny from the puck out, which was the only score to come from Roscommon. Roscommon were holding firm on Galway forwards and no scores were easy to find. Sub Emer Harverty scored Galway's second goal on 15th Minuteon the end of a  Pass from Colette Harverty, and was quickly followed by  Galway Minor Niamh Kilkenny point. Catherine Cormican had a point form play on 21st Minute. On 24th Minute Niamh Kilkenny point from play, and a brace of points from Molly Dunne ( f) Sub Mary Kelly goaled on 29th Minutes with Emer Harverty closing the scoring for the day with a  point from play.
